| Einer gebraucht gekauften 2043
werden 4 MicroLEDs als Rücklichter eingesetzt. Dies ist eine Alternative
zu einer Lösung die auf Lichtleitern basiert
das ich auch hier vorstelle. |

I installed
4 micro LEDs to enhance a used ÖBB 2043. As an alternative to a
project based on fiber optics which is also
presented on this WEB |

| Die LEDs mit einer Größe von
etwa einem Millimeter werden direkt in das Gehäuse geklebt. |

I install the LEDs with
roughly 1mm diameter directly into the model by gluing them right behind
the surface. |

| Die vorhandenen Andeutungen
der Rücklichter wurden mit einen 1,3mm Bohrer geöffnet. Auf der Innenseite
habe ich das transparente Plastik mit einem 4mm Loch geöffnet damit die
LED möglichst tief sitzen kann und Platz für die Anschlüsse ist. |

I drilled a 1.3mm hole into
the housing where the tail lights should sit. There where already lamps
simulated in plastic. On the inner side I opened the transparent plastic
with a 4mm hole to allow the led to sit deep in the plastic and to have
enough space for the connecting wires.. The picture above shows the LEDs
glued in. |

| Die Verdrahtung wurde mit
Kupferlackdraht ausgeführt. Das vermeidet zusätzliche Platzprobleme, und
reicht für die notwendigen 20mA alle mal aus. |

The wireing was done with
wirer wrap stuff. This introduces almost no additional space problems. The
wire is thick enough for the required 5mA. |

| Die beiden obigen Bilder
zeigen einerseits sehr schön den Lichtwechsel als auch die vorbildgerechte
sehr zurückhaltende Ausbildung der Rücklichter. |
