| Aus der Schmiede von Herrn
Kroiss gibt es schon seit Monaten einen H0 Entkuppler angelehnt an die
Roco Kupplung. Jetzt hat Herr Kroiss einen fernsteuerbaren
Kupplungshaken zum Nachrüsten von LGB Kupplern konstruiert. Ich habe ein
Handmuster erhalten und konnte damit spielen. Das Arbeiten geht damit
herrlich elegant von der Hand. Der Einbau ist denkbar einfach. Die
Ansteuerung verlangt einen ZIMO bzw. Tran Decoder mit ihren
zeitgesteuerten Ausgängen.. |

Mr. Kroiss
offers a H0 scale decupler, in a Roco compatible version.
Now Mr. Kroiss came up with a decoupler for LGB. It is
easy to replace the hook. I have got a prerelease version to test it. It
is a lot of fun to operate with it. Installation is easy but you need a
good decoder to drive it. The coil cant stand longer times. So the decoder
needs to turn it of at least after 5 seconds, otherwise it will overheat.
A MX66 or DCX80 with their timer outputs is perfect for that. |

How does it work?
|
| Der Kupplungshaken arbeitet zunächst
genauso wie der LGB haken. Eingekuppelt wird durch hinunterdrücken den
Hakens. Man kann damit wie gewohnt auskuppeln. Entkuppler die von unten
gegen die Kupplung drücken sollten ebenfalls weiterhin funktionieren,
obwohl das ziemlich überflüssig wird. Das ferngesteuerte Entkuppeln
erfolgt durch aktivieren des kleinen Elektromagneten. Der blockiert im
Ruhezustand die Bewegung des Hakens. Wenn der Magnet sich nach oben bewegt
hat kann der Haken wegklappen und die Lok kann frei wegfahren. Die kleine
Feder im Kupplungsmechanismus sorgt für eine Rückstellung des Hakens.
Falls die Federkraft für die Rückstellung nicht ausreicht sorgt der
nächste Kupplungsvorgang sicher für die korrekte Lage und der Magnet fällt
in seine Ruhelage und hält den Haken in korrekter Position. |

the hook works similar
to the LGB original. You couple by simply pressing the hook down. You can
continue to decouple like you are used to. Even decouplers which press
from underneath should work too. Actually this is quite obsolete with this
decoupler. The remote controlled uncoupling is
activated by engaging the coil on the hook. This releases the hook which
can now move back and release the coupler. The little spring moves the
coupler back into position. Even if the spring would be too weak the next
coupling action will bring the hook in correct position. The coil will
move down and keep the hook in place. |

| Es gibt ein paar Bedingungen die man
einhalten muss. So kann man nicht unter Last entkuppeln, da die Magnet
sonst in seiner Bewegung gehindert ist. Also einfach ein wenig retour
fahren vor dem Entkuppeln. Verbindungen mit 2 Haken gehen natürlich auch
nicht, damit meine ich wenn auch der Waggon einen Haken hat. Ein Ausweg
ist, den Kupplungsbügel lokseitig auszuschneiden, damit der Haken des
Waggons gar nicht einhaken kann. Damit lässt sich dieses Problem elegant
vermeiden.
Unter Beachtung der beiden Einschränkungen funktioniert die Kupplung
sehr gut und wird den Betriebsbahnern endlich das Rangieren erleichtern. |

There are 2 conditions.
First it does not work under load. The magnet can't move up if the train
pulls too hard. Just push back a bit and it works fine.
If you use double hook connections the decouple will
only work for one side of course. As a workaround you can open the bow on
the loco side. So the hook if the car does not find a counterpart.
If you consider the restrictions above the decoupler
will allow nice switcher work. |

| Nachdem alle meine Entkuppler (G)-Spur und
H0 nach und nach defekt geworden sind, obwohl in den Decodern die
Zeitglieder korrekt eingestellt waren, verwende ich die Mechanismen
nicht mehr. An den Spulen sind keinerlei Wärmeschäden die auf ein
Durchbrennen schließen ließen zu sehen. |

All my decouplers have
stopped working after some time. The decoders have of course correct
time settings programmed. The coil is interrupted, but no heat damages
are visible. I stopped using them. |
