Es gibt bereits einen ähnlichen Bericht über
die 218'er
Piko bietet in seinem Programm Modelle in Hobby Ausführung
an. Leider haben diese Modelle noch NEM652'er Schnittstellen die ein
modernes Lichtmanagement verhindern. Einige neuere Expert Modelle haben
bereits PluX Schnittstellen, die Verkabelung folgt weiterhin dem alten
Konzepten. Ältere Modelle hatten überhaupt keine Schnittstellen
vorgesehen wie der Taurus auf einer
Nachbarseite zeigt.
Mit Der Piko PluX Platine ist eine einfach unkomplizierte
Modernisierung von Modellen möglich.

There is a similar report
about the Piko BR218
Piko offers several model variants like "Hobby" or
"Expert" versions. Most current models are shipped with a NEM652 socket.
Some "Expert" models ship with a PluX socket but the electrical concept
takes no advantage and reused the simple NEM652 wiring. Older models
like the portrayed Taurus on a neighbor
page had no interface at all.
The
Piko PluX board simplifies the upgrade of a
model.

| Das Hobby Modell hat eine NEM652 Schnittstelle mit Lämpchen als Lichtquelle. Es
wird damit nur das weiße Spitzenlicht versorgt. |

The current
model has just a NEM652 socket which drives 2 bulbs as white
headlight. |

| Der Umbau ist einfach die
vorhandenen Drähte werden an den ähnlichen Positionen der neuen Platine
angelötet. Für die Beleuchtung sind 2 kleine Extraplatinen zuständig.
Die Lämpchen werden damit ersetzt. Die Platinen haben Platz für je eine
rote und weiße LED. Zusammen mit einem PluX Decoder (PluX12/16/22) ist
damit Einzellichtsteuerung einfach realisierbar. |

The update
is simple and easy. The existing connections are transferred so their
news positions. For the headlights there are two small boards available
which care a red and white LED. Together with a PluX12/16/22 decoders
single light management is easy to implement. |

has the typical hole which allows the mounting pillar of the case to run
through to the bottom of the loco. |

| Das Lämpchen ist mit der LED
ersetzt worden. Damit ist eine solide Beleuchtung für Weiß fertig. Das
rote licht soll noch ergänzt werden, leider finde ich das PMMA Material
nicht und muß da nachkaufen, Der Bericht wird ergänzt. |

The bulb
was swapped with a LED. This ensures a good bright light. I plan to
install a solution for red as well. Unfortunately I can't find the
required material now. I will extend this report. |

| In die Lok wurde ein MX645
eingebaut der für Kalibrationsfahrten eingesetzt werden soll. Mehr dazu
in einem weiteren Bericht. Es passt ein K28WP Lautsprecher mit einem 3mm
Resonator in die Lok, damit die das Geräusch sehr laut und kräftig. Ein
Pufferkondensator 1000µF/16V wurde ebenso eingebaut. Die Platine hat
eine Spannungsbegrenzung für den Pufferkondensator. Das erlaubt höhere
Kapazitäten bei kleinen Bauformen einzubauen. |

The loco
got a MX645 decoder installed. It will be used for calibration tests.
More about this in a later report. I installed a K28WP speaker with a
3mm resonator. this provides a good loud sound. A 1000µF 16V buffer
capacitor was installed. The replacement board offers a 16V voltage
limitation for the capacitor. A 16V type offers more capacity at the
same size compared to a 25V type. |
