as western connectors. They are used in US telephone installations. As
long as they come with 6 way connectors they are ideally suited for CAN
bus installations |

Vorderkante meiner Anlage an mehreren Stellen Wanddosen installiert. Je
nach bedarf kann ich hier MX2 bzw. MX3 anschließen ohne mich mit
überlangen Kabeln herumquälen zu müssen.
Ich verwende ein Spiralkabel was
das hantieren zusätzlich erleichtert |

I installed wall outlets along
the front edge of my layout. This allows me to hook up MX2 or MX3 anywhere
without being forced to use too long cables.
I use a coiled cable which is very convenient to work with. |

Variante wenn man keine 6/6 Dosen bekommt ist es RJ45 Dosen zu verwenden.
Die beim ZIMO CAN-Bus üblichen RJ11 Stecker passen in die 8 poligen RJ45
Dosen. Die RJ45 Dosen sind nur intern ausgekreuzt. Die "Erforschung" der
Belegung ist mit folgendem Trick einfach und schnell möglich.
Das anzuschließende Kabel bekommt auf einer Seite einen
RJ11 Stecker. Dieser wird in die Dose gesteckt. Mit dem Durchgangsprüfer
sucht man die Drahtenden des CAN_Bus Kabels zu den korrespondierenden RJ45
Anschlüssen auf der Dose. |

If you
can't get a 6/6 RJ11 wall jack you might want to use a Ethernet RJ45 one.
The RJ11 connectors fit perfectly into it.
There is one problem with the RJ45 jacks they are normally crossed. To
find the right connectors do the following. Just crimp one RJ11 to the
cable, plug it into the front side. Now get a testers and find the
connector on the backside corresponding to the specific wire. This is a
fast and easy way to find the layout.

| Der CAN Bus ist als
Busarchitektur ausgelegt. Eigentlich sollte man daher keine Verzweigungen
bauen. Ich habe das aber aus Vereinfachungsgründen gemacht und keine
Probleme bisher. Alle Enden sind aber mit einem Abschlusswiederstand
versehen. |

The CAN bus architecture is
tot designed to be spitted up. To simplify my cabling I used 3 way
splitters, until now I have no problems with this. I deploy terminators at
every end of my CAN bus.

Österreich hab' ich kürzlich diese Stecker mit 6 Polen bei Conrad
entdeckt. Aufpassen 6 Pole sind beim CAN Bus notwendig! |

found this splitter at a Conrad store. Be careful you need to use 6 pole
ones for CAN bus usage! |
