Street
|
| Die Straße führt von
einem kleinen Tal hinauf zur Bahnstation. Ein weiterer Teil führt durch ein
kurzes Tunnel zur Brauerei. |

The street runs from a small valley to the station. Another part of that
road goes through a tunnel crosses the tracks and ends in front of the
brewery. |
| Die Straße ist wie
die anderen Geländeteile aus Styrodur aufgebaut. Um den Höhenunterschied zu
überwinden führt sie mit einer Serpentine empor. Teile der Straße werden
durch eine Steinwand gestützt. |

The street is done the same way as the rest of this layout based on Styrodur.
To gain the required height the road goes in a serpentine up to the station.
Parts of the road are supported by a stone wall. |

| Unter der Straße
befinden sich in Spantenbauweise immer wieder Verstrebungen. Diese wurden
dann auch benutzt um die Steinwand daran zu befestigen. |
|
Underneath the road there are frames to make the construction more robust. I
used them also to mount the rock wall.

| Die Steinwand ist
aus einer Papierprägeplatte von Kibri. |

The tone wall is made out of a paper wall from Kibri.

Die Verstärkungssäulen / The
stabilization colums
|
| Die
Verstärkungssäulen sind aus 10mm Kiefernholz und Steinplatte herum geklebt.
Der Witterungsschutz in Form eines Betongussteils wurde aus Balsaholz heraus
geschliffen und dann grau bemalt. |

The stabilization columns for the stone wall are made out of 10mm pine wood
and stone paper glued on it. The weather
protection in the form of a concrete cast part is made out of balsa wood and
painted gray. |
| Das obige Bild zeigt
auch den Aufbau des kleinen Baches. Dazu verwende ich meine Methode mit dem
Fliegengitter und Zeitungspapier Kleistergemisch darüber. |

The picture above shows the construction of the small creek. I use my
method: start with fly net, news paper and glue on top. |
| Im Bereich der
Brücke geht's ein bisschen enger zu daher wird die Straße vor
Unterspülungen durch eine Steinwand geschützt. Der Bach verschwindet dann
wieder unterirdisch in einem Gewölbe dass unter dem Bahndamm hindurchführt. |

In the area of the bridge it is quite tight. To avoid damages to the road a
stone wall was built to protect it. The brook continues into a small tunnel
and passes the underneath the dam.

| Das Gewölbe ist mit
einem Spiegel abgeschlossen um eine tiefere Wirkung des Tunnels zu
erreichen. Ich verwende diesen Trick auch beim Straßentunnel, dort ist die
Wirkung noch besser zu sehen. |

The tunnel is only 1,5 cm long and ends with a mirror. This simulates a
longer tunnel view. I use that trick at the road tunnel too.

Steinwand / stone wall
|
| Die wand wurde mit
meinen Styrodurplatten gebaut. Die Platten wurden mit Faller 406 Platten
überzogen. Mir war es ein Anliegen, die Schlusssteine oben so zu sortieren,
dann die Fugen fluchten. Dafür schnitt ich mir genügend Steine aus und
sortierte sie passend. Die Schnittkannten des Papiers habe ich mit
Filzstiften dem Steinmuster angepasst. Der Kleine Tunnel für den Bach
entstand ebenfalls aus Faller Ziegelstrukturplatten und etwas Abfallsteinen
die bei der Brauerei über blieben. |

The wall was built with my wellknown Styrodur stuff. I glued printed paper
stone walls on both sides. I tried to mount the top row stones that they
follow the joints. I simply cut enough small stones and sorted them
correctly. The white paper areas at the borders where covered with felt-tip
pens. The small tunnel for the brook was again
done with Faller brick structure paper. The entrance was built with left
over stones from the brewery.

| Das obige Foto zeigt
die Steinwand nochmals. Wegen der beengten Platzverhältnisse unter der
Brücke ist die Kameraposition sehr ungünstig, man kann sie im Spiegel des
Straßentunnels erkennen. |

The photo above shows the brick wall again. Unfortunately the picture is
technically not the best. Due to the space underneath the bridge I had no
other choice. You can see the camera in the mirror of the road tunnel. |

In the brook there are stones. My stoned are from the winter sand which is
used here in Vienna. |

gepflasterte Straße / paved road |
| Der erste Versuch gepflasterte
Straßen nachzubauen scheint zu gelingen. Die Idee dazu stammt von
Alfred Bernschneider. Über das
Bauen der gepflasterten Straße habe ich eine
eigene Seite gestaltet. |

| Zur Abstützung gegen den Berg
benötigte ich eine runde Stützwand.
Diese habe ich mangels brauchbarer Fertigmaterialien komplett selbst gebaut |

To support
the mountain against the access road I needed a
curved wall. I found no suitable thing
on the market so I built it from scratch. |

Geländehaut im vorderen Teil ist fertig gestellt. Im Herbst werde ich den
Hinteren Teil aufbauen und die Oberfläche gestalten |

Most parts of the surface in the front part are done. When I return I will
build the landscape in the rear part and start to shape the landscape. |

Rechts neben dem
Bahnhof benötige ich eine Abgrenzung zum steil abfallenden Gelände. Ich
wollte eine geschwungene Steinwand, die eckigen Fertigmauern die die
Industrie anbietet, gefallen mir nicht. Die Wand entstand aus Balsaholz.
Dieses wurde in heißem Wasser formbar gemacht. Das weiche Holz dann mittels
Weißleim wie in mehreren Schichten verleimt. |

Right of the station I need a fence or wall against the dangerous creek. I
wanted to avoid industry components. Additionally I wanted a round shape of
the wall. The wall was done out of balsa wood, which I shaped in hot water.
I used 4 sheets of wood which I glued together. |

| Auf die
Unterkonstruktion habe ich Volmer 7363 Prägekarton geklebt, um die
Straßenwand fortzusetzen. Den Abschluss bildet eine Betonsimulation die auch
aus Balsa entstand und grau-silbern bemalt wurde. |

The construction was wrapped with embossed cardboard. I used Vollmer 7363 to
continue the wall from the street. On the top of the wall there is a
concrete roof which was made out of balsa again. I painted it grey. |

| Die Säulen bestehen
nur aus Karton, darauf wurde ein "Balsadach" gesetzt. |

The pillars are out of cardboard. The roof is again out of shaped Balsa. |
